After a tumultuous tenure in Philadlephia marred by an episode of racism that polarized a city, ‘Chip Kelly Guy’ Riley Cooper has been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles. 

During Chip Kelly’s tenure in Philly he preached having players that were “Character Guy’s”. Using this term to justify cutting marquee players: DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy. 

These moves and that term had people thinking,’Riley Cooper said some pretty racist stuff, why the hell is he still on the team?’ It made no sense. Hence, Chip Kelly mad no sense and was fired. Now, Cooper is cut.

His release saved the Eagles $2.9m with $15.5m left on his contract. It opens up the need for a true WR on the outside or move Jordan Matthews to the outside where he should be. 

Cooper underachieved in Philly with 2418 yds and 18 TDs in 5 years with 3 years as a number 1 reciever. The controversy is now over with Cooper’s situation on and off he field and now Philly Eagle fans can move on!
