Marshawn Lynch Retires

Marshawn Lynch took to Twitter to confirm the speculation surrounding his retirement.

“Beast Mode” the moniker/brand he has adopted since sending an earthquake of 137.6 decibels through Seattle’s CenturyLink Field when Marshawn Lynch ran through the New Orleans Saints.

However, the man that made the most noise was mum to the word when it came to the press.

The Skittle lover, spokesperson for Pepsi, guest star on The League, 5 time Pro Bowler, 1 time All-Pro player, 9 season vet will call it quits. He finishes with 9,112 yds Rushing, 1,979 Receiving Yards and 83 Total TDs.

His last season was plagued by injury, and that could be attributed to his bruising pummeling style of run. And at the age of 29, it’s kind of a shock he’s going to be walking away while in his prime years. However, the wear and tear mixed with the demand of another year of bearing the load in the backfield while missing part of this year can be a reason for his retirement.

From Buffalo to Seattle, Marshawn Lynch has given countless amounts of fans a chance to witness a true physical specimen at work, entertaining week after week, year after year. Beast Mode will forever be in sports and pop culture’s vernacular. And Beast Mode will always be in our hearts.

Thank you Marshawn Lynch. It’s been one hell of a ride. ✌🏿💪🏿
