Warriors Demolishing of the Cavs Last Night 132-98, Shows the Cavs STILL Aren’t There Yet

The Warriors best players didn’t play in the 4th quarter again because of a sure win. But this time, it was against the number one team in the East, the Cavs.

LeBron was not dominate at all this game, Kevin Love was obsolete, Tristan Thompson a no show, Kyrie Irving…was on the court? JR Smith being JR Smith, and Iman Shumpert still can’t shoot, and David Blatt is getting the shaft again even though he wasn’t brought there to coach a LeBron-Cleveland reunion with a makeshift “Big 3”, but to grow a young team back to prominence lead by Kyrie Irving, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins.

Steph Curry and the Dubs did their thing, just as the Spurs did theirs against the Cavs (at least that one was close). But what does that say about a team believing their the 2nd best in the NBA?

You’re not!  Here’s a list:

  • Your bench is full of geriatrics and former starters in this league.
  • You have changed a former double double scoring/rebounding machine into a stretch four. And is he even on your team?

  • Your PG is a two guard. Your back up PG is a two guard. And your back up to your back up who is now the back up plays too hard that he has no wind and is inconsistent. Your back ups back ups back up wasn’t in the league last year and has been in the league for 4 still can’t get it.
  • Your back up PF who can play C changed hands to still shoot adequate from the line (69-64-59 you’re getting worst and your body is clearly left handed, stop) and still out plays the starting C but doesn’t play significant minutes or starts.
  • Your best player who has now been usurped as best player in the world, can’t even get off without getting everyone involved, but the players are: out of position, out played and in a makeshift scheme that doesn’t have any fluidity at all.
  • Without LeBron this team would be a 4th-6th seeded team and now they can barely beat those teams. Somethings up and it’s not coaching it’s def personnel.

If the Cavs want to be elite and not get swept again in the regular season, as they were last night by the Warriors, upgrades may be needed. It’s too late to make trades though, because of the “chemistry” the team has but adjustments are not too late. Utilize the skills, utilize the talent, it’s not over they still got it don’t trend downwards, upwards.

No more superlatives of “if you’re team was fully healthy”, your team was healthy, they were pissed off and focused after a disappointing loss and they gave you a “good old fashioned a-kicking”and every team will again and again, if you don’t step up.

The Cavs are becoming irrelevant, and their homecoming rebirthed experiment is unraveling before our eyes.
