So, as I stated before regarding this topic, the absence of Draymond Green for the Warriors has shown that he may be the MIP on this team.
Yes, Steph Curry went off last night for 38 points (20 in the 4th), 5 boards and 9 assists but his heroics were unrewarding for the Dubs.
Despite Steph’s scoring, the Warriors were down most of the game, missing their key player, Draymond. Klay Thompson couldn’t even get it going!
Steph may be best player in the league, but Draymond has shown that he is the most important and valuable to this team. In Curry’s absence, he has elevated his game to another level and has been progressively getting better.
His presence and dominance on both sides of the ball and on the boards is telling with this latest “rest DNP” on a back to back. Tonight they play the Lakers, a team they have demolished this season. Hopefully, this is just a rest for a back to back and there may not be anything more serious that’s undisclosed.
