Away Field Advantage

With all home teams losing in a playoff round for this first time in team history, will the trend continue or end? Where does your team fare for the Saturday games?

Chiefs v. Patriots (Saturday 4:30 et on CBS)

After coming off a 30 point shut out to a lowly Houston Texans, the Cheifs look to make a statement in Foxborough.

Game management specialist Alex Smith, will look to match quarterback prowess with ultimate game manager Tom Brady

While the defense looks to check the depleted offense of the Pats, they still have their hands full with Gronk. But don’t sleep on Kelce either, who’s coming off a monster game.

I have faith with the Cheifs and Andy Reid over the down trending Patriots.

Packers v. Cardinals (Saturday 8:15 et on NBC)

So Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers again. Leading a 35-7 comeback against the Redskins, who didn’t like that (see what I did there?).  Packers looked good in their win, and could cause problems for my Cardinals.

With the Honey Badger out, Rodgers has easy pickings on a defense who saw Russell Wilson detach them meticulously. No one knows what defense is going to show up, or offense.

The Packers defense is as iffy as their offense was, but Carson Palmer, Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and rookie standout David Johnson should be able to eat against them. The skill players on the Red side will create an uptempo style game that will be fun to watch. Hopefully for the Pack, it won’t end like the 2009 Wild Card when we recovered a fumble in OT for the win (I was there and it was gloooorious).
