With Lionel Hollins let go and Billy King reassigned by the struggling 10-27 Brooklyn Nets, they will be looking to revitalize their struggling revamped franchise.
After the move to Brooklyn from the Meadowlands, the Nets have bought high on aging players that have stunted their free agent market chances that have stunted their future where they do not own any of their own first round picks until 2019 per ESPN. With Joe Johnson’s hefty contract coming off the books, and a new GM and for the 5th time in 5 years a coaching regime on the way, they could possibly build around longtime standout Net Brook Lopez. However, if they decide to blow it all up, look for Lopez to be moved as well as their valued roster. Billy King has done no favours for the Nets as GM as it goes for their future. Hopefully the next person that comes in rights the ship and builds a true contender to house the $1 billion Barclays Center.
